Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Bastrop, LA, seeks an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running daily drive-in operations. You will train and support team members, ensure quality food service in a clean, safe environment, and focus on delivering an enjoyable guest experience.

Ideal candidates will have restaurant management or retail supervisory experience, strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task during irregular hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Experience in restaurant management or retail management preferred.
• Ability to lead, train and supervise a team and work with autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
• Adheres to employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing levels, inventory and food cost control.
• Completes weekly inventory as needed.
• Assists in administrative duties including records and documentation.
• Reinforces customer service mentality and responds to guest requests.
