Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Round Rock, Texas is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running daily operations and ensuring quality food, safety, and guest satisfaction.

You will train and supervise team members, manage shift operations, and help with opening/closing duties, inventory, and administrative tasks.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and a customer-first approach to maintain the SONIC experience.

Qualifications

• Six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year of entry-level retail management experience required.
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to ensure service standards.
• Adheres to the employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing, inventory and food cost control; completes weekly inventory.
• Assists in administrative duties including maintaining files, records and documentation.
• Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures guests are served promptly.
• Responds to guest requests and helps resolve complaints.
