Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Austin, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee daily drive-in operations, coach crew, and support the General Manager in delivering fast, friendly service in a clean, safe environment.

You will supervise team members and carhops, handle opening and closing duties, monitor staffing, inventory and costs, and reinforce a guest-first mindset while resolving guest requests.

Qualifications

• Restaurant management experience (QSR) or retail management experience preferred.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• Strong leadership and customer service orientation.
• Able to communicate effectively and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns employees to meet service standards.
• Adheres to employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing, inventory and food cost control; completes weekly inventory.
• Assists in administrative duties and documentation.
• Reinforces customer service mentality and guest focus.
• Responds to guest requests and helps resolve complaints.
