Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Austin, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager and oversee drive-in operations, training and coaching staff to deliver quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient environment. You will help schedule, supervise shifts, monitor inventory and costs, perform opening/closing duties, and ensure guest satisfaction through strong leadership and service.

This role requires flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and prior restaurant management

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year of retail management.
• Experience supervising shifts without direct supervision.
• Good math, reading, and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and multi-task.
• Must adhere to Sonic appearance and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, monitor, and coach team members and drivers.
• Direct and assign staff to meet operational standards.
• Adhere to policies and practices.
• Perform opening/closing duties.
• Monitor staffing, inventory, and food cost.
• Complete weekly inventory.
• Handle administrative tasks and records.
• Foster customer service mindset and respond to guest requests.
• Address guest complaints with supervisor support.
