Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Texas is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily drive-in operations and staff leadership. You will train team members, manage scheduling, and ensure service quality, safety, and cleanliness across shifts.

Ideal candidates have at least six months of restaurant management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while upholding SONIC standards and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy after instructions; capable of multitasking and solving problems.
• Must maintain SONIC appearance and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing drive-in operations.
• Train and support Team Members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign staff to meet service standards.
• Monitor inventory, staffing, and food cost control.
• Cooperate with admin duties and maintain records and documentation.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and complaints.
