Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Austin, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily drive-in operations and staff training. You will help ensure a clean, safe, efficient dining environment and deliver an enjoyable guest experience.

Responsibilities include supervising team members, directing shifts, maintaining inventory and records, and resolving guest concerns while upholding SONIC standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or retail management required.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work autonomously.
• Adherence to SONIC appearance and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, monitor and coach Team Members, Carhops and other staff.
• Direct and assign staff to meet service and quality standards.
• Open and/or close the drive-in restaurant as needed.
• Monitor staffing, inventory and food cost; complete weekly inventory.
• Handle administrative duties and maintain records.
• Provide outstanding customer service and resolve guest concerns.
