Job summary

JCPenney is seeking an Assistant Manager of Customer Experience to drive profitable sales growth by engaging associates, leading initiatives, and executing programs that enhance customer experiences. You will coach teams, oversee hiring, onboarding, payroll, and scheduling, and manage store operations to meet profit targets.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of retail leadership experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years retail leadership experience.
• Strong customer service orientation and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service and Sales: model, coach, and uphold exceptional service; lead in-the-moment coaching and prioritize important tasks.
• Human Resources/Talent Management: source and screen talent; manage onboarding, training, and payroll coordination; schedule resources to meet targets.
• Store Operations: oversee pricing, signing, stockroom processes, receiving/shipping, and third‑party carrier workflows to optimize productivity.
