Job summary

JCPenney is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in building a high-performing team and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will help execute store operations and maintain an appealing environment that engages customers and associates daily.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as Co/Assistant Manager in a similar volume apparel business.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales and metrics.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• Occasional travel to other store locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans to achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Develop team members who create a great customer experience.
• Oversee division of responsibility and be accountable for results.
• Ensure store standards for merchandising and operations are met consistently.
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive growth.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and assist in management duties.
