Job summary

Investment Property Group is seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to support operations at Waverly Gardens in Portland, OR. You will assist with leasing activities, resident relations, and rent collection while maintaining property policies and ensuring excellent service.

You will work with the Community Manager to oversee daily tasks, coordinate with vendors, and help achieve occupancy and budget goals through professional communications and on-site presence.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience as an assistant manager at a multifamily community of 100+ units.
• Strong interpersonal skills with residents and collaboration with team members.
• Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with rent collection and delinquency management.
• Ability to promote occupancy and profitability for the property.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Deliver excellent customer service tailored to the community demographic.

Responsibilities

• Represent IPG in a positive and professional manner at all times.
• Work with the Community Manager to handle daily tasks and property operations efficiently.
• Oversee rent collections, maintain ledgers, and manage delinquent accounts and evictions as needed.
• Assist with applications and leasing for new move-ins and renewals, including waitlist management.
• Conduct daily property walks and ensure clean, safe, well-maintained common areas; take corrective action as needed.
• Perform unit inspections and follow up with corrective actions.
• Respond to resident concerns and requests with professionalism.
• Maintain strong communications with tenants, vendors, and authorities.
