Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role in retail, hospitality, or similar.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and POS or project management software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; team motivation and accountability.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage schedules.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure efficiency in line with policies.
  • Lead, train, and coach staff; manage scheduling and morale.
  • Address customer issues promptly and professionally.

Job description

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading staff, and ensuring a premium customer experience. This role acts as a bridge between frontline employees and upper management, requiring a balance of operational hands‑on work and administrative leadership. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem‑solver with strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Oversight
  • Supervise daily business operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to company policies.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and coordinating with vendors.
  • Ensure the facility meets all health, safety, and security regulations.
  • Handle opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting.
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and training new team members.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff to improve performance and morale.
  • Create and manage employee schedules to ensure optimal coverage.
  • Mediate workplace conflicts and foster a positive, collaborative team culture.
  • Lead by example in providing exceptional service to clients/customers.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or escalations promptly and professionally.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer journey and implement service standards.
4. Financial & Strategic Support
  • Monitor sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in preparing reports on performance, productivity, and expenses.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies to increase revenue and minimize waste.
  • Support marketing initiatives and promotional events as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role within a similar industry (Retail, Hospitality, Corporate, etc.).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Point of Sale (POS) or Project Management software.
  • Leadership: Ability to motivate a diverse team and hold staff accountable.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, management, and customers.
  • Problem‑Solving: Capability to think on your feet and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Organization: Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Integrity: High level of ethics and reliability when handling confidential information or financial assets.
  • This position may require standing for long periods.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
  • Pay: $20.00–$23.00 per hour
  • Quarterly bonus based on performance
