Job summary

Subway is hiring an Assistant Manager to focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control, and staff supervision. You will oversee a 4–12 person team, help plan events and promotions, and coordinate training needed for successful executions.

You will receive training, work across day/evening/weekend shifts, and contribute to a fast-paced restaurant operation. Prior supervisory experience is preferred; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members.
• Computer knowledge is desirable.
• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience and ensure quality food preparation and service.
• Keep the restaurant functional, clean and visually appealing.
• Control inventory and assist with product ordering as needed.
• Schedule and supervise staff; assign and evaluate work for teams of 4–12.
• Maintain restaurant safety and security standards.
• Assist in planning events and promotions at the restaurant.
• Be a team player and support colleagues across shifts.

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
