Job summary

Subway Team in Gretna, NE seeks an Assistant Manager/Shift Manager to lead a small team and ensure a superior guest experience. You will supervise 4-12 staff, help plan events and promotions, and assist with inventory and ordering while upholding food safety and sanitation standards.

Training will be provided; roles may be Full Time or Part Time with day, evening, and weekend shifts depending on location. Compensation to be discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfort with computer systems and POS operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a staff of 4-12, assign and evaluate work.
• Assist in planning events and promotions; train staff for events.
• Assist with product ordering and inventory as needed.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as an Assistant Manager will focus on seven main things:

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
