Job summary

Slick City Action Park in Knoxville, TN is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to help create a standout guest experience. The role combines leadership, mentoring, and hands-on supervision to grow park operations and brand awareness in the community.

You will open/close on specified days, train new team members, maintain safety standards, and foster a fun, customer-focused culture. Weekend and evening availability is required; in-person work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or some college preferred.
• Experience in a supervisor/leadership role.
• Proven conflict management and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in all situations.
• Willingness to work nights/weekends and flexible hours.
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the facility on scheduled days.
• Promote a positive and uplifting park culture.
• Monitor maintenance and inventory of equipment.
• Ensure a safe guest and team environment.
• Train and supervise team members for excellent service.
• Present a professional image to guests and management.
• Maintain good relations with staff and management, address questions.
• Work with GM and other managers on priorities.
• Collaborate with the management team and handle other duties as needed.

Summary

If you love staying active and are usually smiling, come be part of Slick City. The Assistant Manager helps us create and maintain a showcase park giving the best customer experience. The Assistant Manager will have an opportunity to help growth within the park while managing brand awareness to community members. The Assistant Manager will help to grow the next generation of team members through leadership and mentoring.

Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities

• Open and close the facility on specified weekdays and weekends
• Promote a positive and uplifting culture throughout the park
• Monitor proper maintenance and inventory of the facility and equipment
• Maintain a healthy and safe environment for guests and team members alike by adhering to safety and sanitation standards
• Train new team members and supervise current team members to consistently provide exemplary service and achieve operational excellence
• Maintain an image of competence and professionalism to guests, team members, and management.
• Maintain proper team member/employer relations and address any questions promptly, including disciplinary actions, recognition, and performance.
• Work under the direct supervision of the GM, who will indicate general assignments, limitations, and priorities.
• Work as a team with other management team members
• Perform any other services or duties as required by Management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, some College preferred
• Supervisor level experience
• Proven conflict management skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends
• Relates well to customers of all agesGreat attitude and strong work ethic
