Job summary

Sares Regis Group is seeking an experienced property management professional for the 288-unit Woodlake Apartments in Kirkland, WA. This opportunity requires weekday hours from 9am to 6pm and offers a competitive compensation package including benefits.

The Assistant Manager will supervise in the Community Manager's absence, train staff, optimize rent income, collect rent, and manage move-ins/outs using property software. Weekend and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of property management experience; pass fair housing exam.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of property software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assists Community Manager and may act in their absence.
• Assists in training and scheduling of staff.
• Reviews daily rent recommendations to maximize income.
• Collects rent and handles delinquencies; initiates legal actions as needed; processes invoices; codes GL entries; reconciles security deposits.
• Reviews move-in/out files and ensures accurate data entry in property software.
• Completes weekly reports and assists in monthly variance reporting.
• Assists in resolving resident and applicant conflicts.
• Follows company handbooks and property policies.

OPPORTUNITY ASSISTANT MANAGER - KIRKLAND, WA

DAYS/HOURS REQUIRED MONDAY - FRIDAY, 9AM - 6PM

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Assistant Community Manager assumes the Community Manager's supervisory responsibilities in his/her absence.
• Assists in the training and development of the team, assists in schedules of employee work times.
• Reviews daily rent recommendations and proactively identifies opportunities to maximize income.
• Collects current and delinquent rent in accordance with company and property policy. Implements timely legal action, including court appearances. Posts invoices; uses purchase orders; Codes invoices with correct General Ledger (GL) coding; submits security deposit reconciliation timely.
• Reviews move in and move out files for thorough and accurate completion; verifies information is timely and accurately entered into the property software system.
• Completes or verifies completion of accurate and timely weekly reports. Reviews monthly financial reports with the property manager; assists in completing variance reports.
• Assists the Community Manager in resolving resident and prospective resident conflicts.
• Reads, follows, and implements the company and employee handbooks, property policy manuals, and any other governing documents.

Qualifications

• Must have 1-3 years of related property management experience with ability to pass fair housing exam.
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages; ability to apply concepts of basic math.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Must have knowledge of operations software used at the property level; Outlook, Internet software, EXCEL, and WORD.
• Current driver's license and auto insurance.
• Able to work weekends and overtime as job requires.

Salary range is $27.00-$28.50/hour. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a 401(K) match, rental incentive and renewal compensation, bonuses, and rental discounts depending on location. Regular full-time employees who work between 30-40 hours a week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, other voluntary benefits and vacation accrual. Sick time accrual is provided in accordance with law.
