Ready to take the next step in restaurant leadership? As an Assistant Manager at Social Cantina, you’ll play an important role in keeping the restaurant running smoothly, supporting your team, and creating the kind of guest experience that keeps people coming back.
This is a hands‑on leadership role in a fast‑paced environment. You’ll work alongside the General Manager and other restaurant leaders to oversee daily operations, develop team members, maintain our standards, and jump in wherever needed. Whether you're leading the floor, supporting the kitchen, or helping behind the bar, we believe great leaders aren't afraid to get in the mix.
We're looking for someone who brings positive energy, communicates well, holds people accountable, and knows how to balance great hospitality with strong business results.
What You’ll Be Doing
Team Leadership & Development
- Help recruit, onboard, train, and develop team members who reflect our standards and culture
- Lead by example and create a positive, team‑focused work environment
- Coach team members in real time and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Support ongoing product, service, and skills training
- Recognize great performance while addressing concerns consistently and professionally
- Partner with restaurant leadership to build a strong, dependable team
Guest Experience
- Create a welcoming, energetic environment where guests genuinely enjoy spending time
- Engage with guests throughout their visit and make sure we're delivering the Social Cantina experience
- Respond to guest feedback and resolve concerns quickly and professionally
- Maintain strong standards for service, cleanliness, food quality, and presentation
- Know the menu and help the team confidently make recommendations and create memorable experiences
Restaurant Operations
- Support daily restaurant operations across service, kitchen, and bar
- Help coordinate food preparation, ticket times, service flow, and presentation to keep everything running smoothly
- Work across departments when needed—everyone helps where the restaurant needs them, regardless of their primary area of responsibility
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure operational standards are followed
- Monitor labor throughout the shift and make adjustments based on business needs
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs
- Maintain strong communication between departments and restaurant leadership
Inventory & Cost Control
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels
- Complete regular inventory counts accurately and on time
- Help control waste, monitor product usage, and protect restaurant profitability
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors
- Make sure the restaurant and team have what they need to execute successfully
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain FHG standards for food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service
- Ensure team members follow company policies and applicable health and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment
- Regularly inspect restaurant areas and equipment and communicate maintenance or safety concerns
- Help ensure required documentation, certifications, and procedures are completed appropriately
What We’re Looking For
- Previous restaurant leadership or management experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- A people‑first leadership style with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable
- Ability to stay calm, make decisions, and lead effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Willingness to be hands‑on and support all areas of restaurant operations
- Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work a minimum of 45 hours per week
- Responsible alcohol service certification and applicable state‑specific licensing
- ServSafe Manager certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Willingness to participate in FHG professional development and leadership meetings

- Salary: $50,000–$57,000 annually, based on experience
