Job summary

Burger King in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily operations and mentor a team toward guest satisfaction and profitability.

You'll partner with the General Manager to manage inventory, vendors, cash controls, and speed of service, while developing your leadership skills for a future General Manager role.

This hands-on role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to gain transferable management experience across the business.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of college preferred.
• 1–2 years of quick service restaurant experience; management experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of P&L interpretation and its impact on profitability.
• Demonstrated leadership and guest service skills.
• Available for evenings, weekends, holidays, and irregular shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory costs through daily, weekly, and monthly inspections
• Place and receive vendor orders and maintain restaurant asset records
• Oversee preventative maintenance and vendor relationships
• Ensure cash control and security procedures are followed
• Lead the team to deliver fast, friendly, accurate guest service
• Coach Shift Coordinators and Team Members to raise performance
• Direct efficient, on-standard product preparation and speed of service
• Uphold operational and brand standards, stepping in as needed
