Job summary

INDHP123 is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to prepare apartments for new residents and support the Lead Maintenance Technician with a range of maintenance tasks across the property, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.

The role covers tasks in leasing offices, clubhouse, pool areas, and exterior spaces, with responsibilities for pool maintenance, safety, and weather-related duties. On-call availability and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Six (6) months related experience, including light electrical and plumbing.
• Must be able to read, speak and understand English for business purposes.
• Available for on-call.
• Pre-employment background check including criminal record search, employment verifications, and drug screen.
• Able to move appliances with a dolly and lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance repairs to prepare apartments for new residents.
• Address maintenance requests in occupied units (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, roof).
• Maintain amenities including pool, Jacuzzi, clubhouse, and laundry areas.
• Assess and arrange extraordinary maintenance needs (gutters, parking lot, lighting, fences, carpet).
• Deposi/stock ice-melt and respond to inclement weather.
• Order maintenance materials with approval of Property Manager.
• Relay or repair carpeting and assist Lead Maintenance Technician when needed.
• Complete tasks assigned by Property Manager or Property Supervisor.
