Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and uphold property integrity. The role focuses on timely service, safety compliance, and collaboration with the leasing team to maximize renewals.

You will handle routine maintenance tasks, maintain records, and assist during inspections while adhering to company policies and ADA/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance or related trade experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• EPA refrigerant, transition, and recovery certification required.
• Strong verbal and written English; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Own a basic set of hand tools and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel and work weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests from residents within 24 hours.
• Manage system for handling resident requests and schedule on-call rotation.
• Protect safety and comply with ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA, and company policies.
• Assist with distributing flyers and maintaining safety materials.
• Keep records of preventive maintenance and make-ready status for apartments.
• Perform minor routine maintenance on equipment and inspect tools.
