Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is looking for safety-oriented individuals to join our team as an Assistant Machine Operator in McDonough, GA. You will operate the line with minimal supervision while maintaining safety, productivity, waste, housekeeping and quality standards.

This role works a rotating 12-hour Dupont schedule with day and night shifts and a 7-day break in every 28-day period. Pay starts at $25.25 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential between 7pm and 7am, plus potential quarterly bonus up to

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience operating production machinery.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, military, or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate the line with minimal supervision while maintaining safety, productivity, waste, housekeeping and quality standards.
• Perform makeready/changeover machine setups according to production schedules.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments; operate in line systems with minimal supervision including manual duties such as handpacking.
• Consistently look for improvements to reduce waste and increase production within quality standards.
