Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking safety-oriented individuals to join our Tolleson plant as an Assistant Machine Operator. The role offers $26.75 per hour with a $1 shift differential for night hours, and a performance pay program with up to a 6% quarterly bonus.

You will operate 12-hour shifts on a rotating 5-2-2-5 schedule, first on days then nights, with attendance tracking under a point-based program. Candidates should be able to lift and handle materials safely.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience operating production machinery.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, military, or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read a tape measure in both standard and metric units.
• This role works rotating 12 hour shifts, on a 5-2-2-5 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate the line with minimal supervision while maintaining safety, productivity, waste, housekeeping and quality.
• Operate the line while the lead operator assists other lines or tasks.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments; operate in line systems with minimal supervision.
• Perform makeready/changeover machine setups according to production schedules.
• Identify improvements to reduce waste and increase production within quality standards.
