Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking Machine Operators at our Rincon, GA facility to manufacture tissue, towel, and napkins safely and efficiently. The position offers development within your role and growth within the company, with a rotating 12‑hour shift that includes weekends and overtime as needed.

Pay starts at $20.00 per hour. You will work in a hot, humid, dusty and noisy environment and may handle oils and chemicals.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, farming, construction, and/or military environment.
• Experience working with others or as part of a team.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify hazards and mitigate risk.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations including wearing safety equipment and upholding quality standards.
• Operate mobile equipment, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment to the desired state.
• Flow to the highest value work.
• Communicate valuable information to the team using verbal, written, and electronic tools.
• Apply knowledge while building and improving asset strategies.
• Operate equipment within targets and provide feedback on improvements.
• Evaluate and execute operator basic care and lube routes.
• Make recommendations on spare parts strategy.
• Engage in Zone Ownership and/or equipment PPRs.
• Perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks on a 12-hour shift, including lifting, pushing, and standing.
