Job summary

The Lunenburg Public Library in Lunenburg is seeking an Assistant Library Director to assist in the administration, direction and control of daily library operations.

This key leadership position involves collection development, ILS administration, patron services, payrolls and scheduling, supervision of pages and the circulation desk, and coordinating volunteers and programs, under the Library Director.

Qualifications

• MLS/Masters strongly preferred.
• Three to five years’ library experience including at least three years in a supervisory position.
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration, direction, and control of daily library operations.
• Duties include collection development, ILS administration, patron services, payrolls and scheduling, supervision of pages and circulation desk, coordinating volunteers, program planning.
