Job summary

Steelyard Apartments is seeking an Assistant Lead Maintenance Technician to support the Lead Technician in daily tasks, inspections, and property improvements at a fast-paced multi-family community.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems, performing preventative maintenance, and coordinating unit turnovers. You will work on-site and participate in an on-call rotation to ensure resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of multi-family maintenance experience.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances knowledge.
• EPA or HVAC license required; CPO and CAMT preferred.
• OSHA compliance and safe work practices knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Maintenance Technician with daily maintenance activities, service requests, inspections.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, water systems, doors, and related components.
• Perform preventative maintenance to protect property assets and prevent issues.
• Coordinate make-ready activities for unit inspections and turnover.
• Inspect property conditions for safety hazards and address deficiencies.
• Maintain inventory and tools; report shortages and keep a safe work area.
• Provide emergency on-call support as part of rotating schedule.
