BRICKYARD BARREL HOUSE LLC is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager in Bloomington, IL. The role oversees the Back of House staff, supervises food prep and cooking, maintains inventory, and ensures safety and cleanliness standards to deliver quality meals on time.

The candidate will manage kitchen staff, ensure proper food handling, and uphold Barrel House standards to provide a pleasant dining experience for guests at ISU watch parties.

Qualifications

• 1 to 5 years previous server experience.
• Experience with food service operations preferred.
• Computer skills with POS system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Can perform all duties in the BOH and backs up all personnel as needed.
• Manages BOH staff and ensures checklist duties are complete.
• Assists in orientating and onboarding new BOH team members.
• Keep the food waste log up to date to prevent high food waste.
• Maintains temperature logs for all coolers and freezers.
• Ensures food presentation is appealing and accurate.
• Ensures items on line are fresh and at appropriate temperatures.
• Ensures menu items are prepared properly and according to Barrel House standards.
• Ensures prepped food items are properly stored and dated.
• Completes prep list for morning prep team members.
• Checks out evening kitchen staff and is the last set of eyes on the BOH.
• Adheres to company standards, including personal hygiene and appearance.
• Adheres to health and safety standards when handling food.
