Barrel House in Bloomington, IL 61701 seeks an Assistant Kitchen Manager to supervise BOH operations, oversee food preparation, and maintain inventory and safety standards. The role reports to the Kitchen Manager and requires managing staff to deliver quality food on time.

Pay is $20.50–$21.00 hourly; full-time, on-site at Barrel House. Benefits include life, disability, PTO, medical, 401K with match, and more.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 to 5 years previous server experience.
• Education: Any combination of education and experience.
• Computer Skills: Point of Sale System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee BOH staff and daily back-of-house operations.
• Supervise food prep and cooking to maintain quality.
• Maintain stocked kitchen inventory and safety standards.
• Ensure items are prepared and plated per Barrel House standards.
• Assist in orientating and onboarding new BOH team members.
• Ensure the BOH is clean, stocked, and ready for shifts.
