Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Vermont's Stowe area seeks an Assistant Human Resources Director to lead day-to-day HR operations, oversee HR office administration, and foster a culture aligned with Hyatt's care for people.

You will support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, housing, performance management, leave, training and development, and engagement initiatives, while partnering with the HR Director to shape short- and long-term HR strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience.
• HR certification preferred (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR).
• Minimum 2 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• HR experience in hotel or hospitality leadership environment (2+ years).
• Experience with payroll, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training & development.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality handling.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel, skills.
• Highly organized with strong admin and project management abilities.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and caring culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist HR Director with day-to-day HR operations and HR office administration.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, housing, performance management, leave, training and development, and engagement initiatives.
• Partner with Director to shape short- and long-term HR strategy and hotel/company initiatives.
• Support development of future HR leaders within Hyatt and maintain service excellence.
