Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Vermont's Stowe area seeks an Assistant Human Resources Director to lead day-to-day HR operations, oversee HR office administration, and foster a culture aligned with Hyatt's care for people.

You will support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, housing, performance management, leave, training and development, and engagement initiatives, while partnering with the HR Director to shape short- and long-term HR strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience.
• HR certification preferred (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR).
• Minimum 2 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• HR experience in hotel or hospitality leadership environment (2+ years).
• Experience with payroll, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training & development.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality handling.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel, skills.
• Highly organized with strong admin and project management abilities.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and caring culture.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an Assistant Human Resources Director to join our team! This person will assist the HRD with leading the day-to-day Human Resources function, overseeing all Human Resources office administration, and fostering a culture that reflects Hyatt's purpose of caring for people so they can be their best. Additionally, the AHRD assists in overseeing and/or performing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, international recruitment, housing, performance management, leave of absence administration, training and development, and engagement initiatives.

In partnership with the Director of Human Resources, the Assistant Director assists with both short- and long-term HR strategy, while executing hotel and company initiatives. Pay Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
• Minimum of two years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
• Minimum of twoyears of Human Resources experience within a hotel environment or equivalent hospitality leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience in payroll administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training and development.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.
• Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional administrative and project management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional experiences for colleagues and guests through a lens of care.
