Job summary

Angels’ Place in Michigan seeks an Assistant Home Manager to support the Home Manager in daily operations of a residential home for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will supervise staff, ensure a safe, healthy environment, and uphold our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Faith and Service.

Responsibilities include training new employees on person-centered plans, maintaining documentation, coordinating with departments, and providing back-up coverage during staffing shortages.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Some college preferred but not required.
• Minimum 2+ years experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Minimum 2+ years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and healthy environment that supports independence.
• Train newly hired staff on person-centered plans and routines.
• Lead and supervise staff in Home Manager's absence.
• Assist in building a Christ-centered culture within the home.
• Monitor staff performance per policies, core values, and regulations.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed and document monthly drills.
• Complete reports, calls, and scheduling as assigned by manager.
• Organize and file completed reports and documentation.
• Maintain clean, attractive common areas and bedrooms.
• Attend meetings, seminars, and events as assigned.
• Provide back-up coverage during staffing emergencies.
