Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1-3 years retail management experience.
• Familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred
• Be dependable and reliable with flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, able to take and give direction
• Outgoing and friendly, positive attitude, customer-facing
• Proven leadership to build and maintain staff with understanding of reports and goals
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Organized with planning skills to prioritize many tasks
• Must lift milk trays and boxes up to specified weights and heights

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Grocery Team
• Unload and sort store deliveries
• Ensure execution of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines across the team
