Sprouts Farmers Market in Reno, NV seeks an Assistant Grocery Manager to lead one of the store’s busiest teams and deliver excellent customer service while optimizing sales, margins and inventory. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1-3 years retail management experience. Familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred
• Be dependable and reliable with flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal and ability to take/give direction in a team environment
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with positive attitude and customer interaction
• Proven leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff with knowledge of reports and financial goals
• Strong focus on detail, analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong organization and planning skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks
• Must physically lift/move milk trays and boxes and work in a physically demanding environment

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
• Lead a team to deliver high quality products and service
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training and developing the Grocery Team
• Unload and sort through store deliveries
• Ensure execution of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines by all team members
