Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to help customers make healthy choices while leading one of the store’s busiest teams. You will support the Grocery Manager in merchandising, inventory control, and staff supervision to maximize productivity and profit.

You’ll assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team, manage deliveries, and ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years retail management experience; familiarity with natural foods preferred
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; walking up to 3 miles per 8 hours expected
• Strong communication, leadership and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Assist Grocery Manager in department merchandising for maximum productivity and profit
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
• Assist in hiring, training, developing the Grocery Team
• Unload and sort through store deliveries
• Ensure the execution of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations
