Job summary

Country Club of York is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to join our private club staff in York, PA. This role offers teaching, tournament administration, merchandising, and leadership development opportunities for a PGA member or associate.

Ideal candidates possess teaching ability, strong communication, and excellent organizational skills, with a flexible schedule including weekends. PGA dues and education support are offered along with play and practice privileges.

Qualifications

• PGA Member in good standing or actively progressing through the PGA PGM Program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Golf Management or related field preferred.
• Strong teaching aptitude and passion for player development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience with Golf Genius and JONAS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service to members and guests consistent with PGA and club standards.
• Assist in the daily operation of the golf shop, including merchandising, inventory management, and POS systems.
• Organize, administer, and execute member tournaments, leagues, and outside events.
• Provide individual instruction, group clinics, and junior golf programming.
• Support player development initiatives and grow instructional revenue.
• Enforce the Rules of Golf, pace of play, and club policies.
• Assist with training, supervision, and scheduling of outside services staff.
• Participate in merchandising planning, and seasonal programming.
• Represent the club in a professional manner at all times.

Country Club of York is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Golf Professional to join our professional staff. This position is ideal for a PGA Member or PGA Associate seeking a well-rounded private club experience with opportunities in teaching, tournament administration, merchandising, and leadership development.
