Country Club of York invites applications for an Assistant Golf Professional to join our private club team in York, PA. The role offers teaching opportunities, tournament administration, merchandising and leadership development within a distinguished PGA environment.

The successful candidate will be a PGA member or active PGA Associate progressing through the PGA PGM program, with strong teaching skills, excellent communication, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• PGA member in good standing or PGA Associate actively progressing through the PGA PGM Program
• Bachelor’s degree in Golf Management or related field preferred
• Strong teaching aptitude and passion for player development

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service to members and guests consistent with PGA and club standards
• Assist in the daily operation of the golf shop, including merchandising, inventory management, and POS systems
• Organize, administer, and execute member tournaments, leagues, and outside events
• Provide individual instruction, group clinics, and junior golf programming
• Support player development initiatives and grow instructional revenue
• Enforce the Rules of Golf, pace of play, and club policies
• Assist with training, supervision, and scheduling of outside services staff
• Participate in merchandising planning, and seasonal programming
• Represent the club in a professional manner at all times

Position Overview

Country Club of York is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Golf Professional to join our professional staff. This position is ideal for a PGA Member or PGA Associate seeking a well-rounded private club experience with opportunities in teaching, tournament administration, merchandising, and leadership development.
