Job summary

The Country Club of York in York, PA is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to join our private club team. The role offers a well-rounded experience with teaching, tournament administration, merchandising, and leadership development for a PGA member or associate.

You will support shop operations, run member events, provide lessons, and help grow instructional revenue while upholding club standards and pace of play.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Golf Management or related field preferred.
• Strong teaching aptitude and passion for player development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service to members and guests consistent with PGA and club standards.
• Assist in the daily operation of the golf shop, including merchandising, inventory management, and POS systems.
• Organize, administer, and execute member tournaments, leagues, and outside events.
• Provide individual instruction, group clinics, and junior golf programming.
• Support player development initiatives and grow instructional revenue.
• Enforce the Rules of Golf, pace of play, and club policies.
• Assist with training, supervision, and scheduling of outside services staff.
• Participate in merchandising planning, and seasonal programming.
• Represent the club in a professional manner at all times.

Position Overview

Country Club of York is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Golf Professional to join our professional staff. This position is ideal for a PGA Member or PGA Associate seeking a well-rounded private club experience with opportunities in teaching, tournament administration, merchandising, and leadership development.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service to members and guests consistent with PGA and club standards
• Assist in the daily operation of the golf shop, including merchandising, inventory management, and POS systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Experience with Golf Genius tournament software and JONAS preferred
