Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Metairie to lead daily restaurant operations, partnering with the General Manager and Area Leader. The AGM will oversee schedules, forecasting, labor, and inventory while mentoring hourly Team Members and upholding CAVA standards.

You will help manage finances, prepare reports, and implement action plans to boost guest satisfaction and profitability. Travel and flexible hours may be required, reflecting a dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations including opening/closing
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and feedback
• Support scheduling and staffing
• Address Team Member issues and conflicts to maintain a positive environment
• Enhance guest experience by upholding service standards and addressing concerns
• Lead by example in customer service and encourage the team
• Support financial reporting, performance analysis, and budget adherence
• Maintain accurate financial records and cash handling procedures
• Oversee food safety practices and team training
• Handle administrative tasks such as inventory and records
• Assist with report preparation and action plan implementation
• Participate in special projects to drive restaurant success
