Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers in New Jersey is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily operations and leadership development. The role offers opportunities to learn essential management skills and exercise judgment with discretion.

You will guide store performance, supervise teams, ensure brand standards, and maintain strong customer relationships while supporting the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping people learn and grow the business.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assign work, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Able to perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Mentor staff and maintain morale during challenging times.
• Ensure brand standards and procedures are followed; maintain clean, inviting restaurants.
• Maintain cash management and daily reports; resolve customer needs and issues.
• Monitor inventory with spot counts and checks.
