Salt & Straw is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations in a busy shop, partnering with the General Manager to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will coach a diverse team, drive scheduling, training, and retention, and help manage payroll, inventory, and financials.

This full-time role offers a pay range of $26.19–$27.93 per hour with quarterly bonus potential, plus competitive benefits and a focus on growth and community engagement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in food service, fast-casual dining, or hospitality.
• 18+ months of progressive leadership experience.
• Led teams of 10+ members in a high-volume environment.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and ensure smooth operations and guest experiences.
• Partner with the GM to achieve operational, cultural, and financial goals.
• Plan and execute daily shift schedules and team assignments.
• Coach and mentor team members with clear, constructive feedback.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention of staff.
• Manage cash transactions, inventory, and food safety standards.
• Assist with payroll, shop communications, and daily documentation.
• Monitor labor and sales performance; support monthly P&L insights.
