Job summary

Border Foods LLC in Minnesota is seeking a results-oriented Assistant Manager to reinforce our CORE values and lead the restaurant operation. You will build a strong team, deliver great food, and ensure a friendly guest experience while upholding safety and quality standards.

This non-exempt management role requires dedication to scheduling, coaching, and continuous improvement, with a minimum of 50 hours per week and opportunities for education reimbursement, health benefits, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year restaurant or retail experience or combined experience and education.
• Experience with sales building, P&L statements, recruiting, and training.
• Proven track record of successful hiring and retention.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Non-exempt management position; expected to work a minimum of 50 hours per week.
• ServeSafe Certified.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of the entire restaurant and build a strong team that delivers great food and a friendly experience.
• Reinforce Border Foods CORE values with accountability, integrity, family, excellence, teamwork and empowerment.
• Schedule and deploy team members effectively to monitor performance and ensure service quality.
• Drive fast and friendly service and maintain POS system accuracy and pricing updates.
• Manage cash handling, inventory, labor control, and waste management.
• Hire and develop team members; conduct new hire orientation and training plans.
