Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily operations and support the General Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences at our New Jersey location. You will lead a team, manage shifts, coach staff, and ensure compliance with brand standards and safety policies.

You'll be responsible for inventory accuracy, cash handling, customer issue resolution, and maintaining a welcoming, clean, and efficient store environment while fostering teamwork

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Willingness to supervise and develop shift supervisors.
• Strong business acumen and cash handling awareness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback and set goals for teams.
• Supervise non-management staff and assign tasks.
• Step in for GM when needed and maintain store operations.
• Motivate staff during low morale and maintain brand standards.
• Ensure cash management accuracy and daily reporting.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues promptly.
• Conduct spot inventory counts and verify data.
• Ensure cleanliness and inviting store appearance.
