Carvana's ADESA Auto Auction site in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a high-performing vehicle operations team and support the customer experience at the auction site.

You will apply operational, sales, and financial abilities to enhance customer satisfaction, while you sharpen leadership skills in a Fortune 500 company known for integrity and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• College education is preferred.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• 7+ years of customer service experience.
• Automotive/auction experience preferred.
• CRM experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front by setting the cultural tone and facilitating an environment of positivity, customer focus, strong morale, and team collaboration.
• Recruit and hire exceptional team members, and utilize performance management tools to ensure development of their careers.
• Resolve employee relations challenges and communicate issues to leadership for action.
• Ensure proper follow-through on directives, schedules, and accounting from management and corporate sources.
• Lead dealer consignment and commercial account teams to maximize profitable sales volume.
• Monitor customer accounts and advise on corrective actions or collections as needed.
• Create positive rapport with customers and act as the at-auction point for customer needs.
• Turn operational initiatives into actionable tasks and ensure processes move vehicles efficiently.
