Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana owned company, located at 2785 Beverly Road in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead a high performing vehicle operations team and elevate the customer experience at our auction site.

This role requires strong leadership across operations, sales and finance, with emphasis on people development, compliance and safety. Relocation assistance is offered for the right candidate, and the Monday–Friday 9–5 schedule supports work–life balance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of people management experience.
• 7+ years of customer service experience.
• Automotive/auction experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front by setting the cultural tone and facilitating an environment of positivity, customer focus, strong morale, and team collaboration.
• Recruit and hire exceptional team members, and utilize performance management tools to ensure development of their careers.
• Resolve employee relations challenges, complaints, suggestions, etc. using sound human relations principles.
• Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, bulletins, schedules, and accounting from the General Manager.
• Frequently and effectively communicate across the team and ensure the flow of cross functional communication between departments.
