Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager in New Jersey. You will support the General Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, learn management skills, and exercise judgment in fast-paced retail environments.

The role focuses on leadership, team development, coaching, and delivering business objectives while maintaining excellent customer service and adherence to brand standards.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate objectives clearly.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Step in and perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during busy or challenging times.
• Ensure adherence to brand standards and company policies across operations.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and daily reporting as directed.
