Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run daily operations and to learn key management skills. This role offers entry-level managers a path to growth within a fast-paced hospitality environment across multiple travel plazas.

You will lead teams, coach supervisors, manage brand standards, and ensure smooth store performance while delivering excellent customer service and operational results.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping people learn and grow the business.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise day-to-day operations, assign tasks, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Be capable of performing duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during challenging times.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues promptly and ensure policy adherence.
• Maintain brand standards and procedures to maximize relations with brand/landlord/labor.
• Ensure the restaurant looks clean, inviting, and compliant with standards.
• Manage cash daily and deliver reports as directed by company guidelines.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Keep inventory data accurate with spot counts and checks.
