Job summary

LIME Fresh Mexican Grill in Miami is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee all restaurant operations when the General Manager is occupied. You will manage day-to-day activities, review sales and costs, lead recruiting and staff training, schedule performance evaluations, handle customer relations, and ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation standards.

In this role you will assist the GM with vendor relations, inventory control, and community outreach, while delivering

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have knowledge of service, food and beverage, generally involving at least two years of front-of-the-house operations and/or leadership positions.
• Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the stamina to work 50 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Interface with guests to ensure a perfect LIME experience.
• Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
• Ensure that all food and products are high quality and prepared and served following set standards.
• Ensure restaurant achieves objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility, and sanitation/cleanliness.
• Train and develop new staff.
• Work with the GM to make employment and termination decisions.
• Order and inventory stock and supplies.
• Lead shifts as needed.
• Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.
• Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
• Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.
