Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in all daily operations and administrative tasks, including supervising non-exempt and professional staff.

The role also covers MOD duties when the General Manager is unavailable and aims to enhance profitability while ensuring a high-quality guest experience. The candidate will plan and manage daily operations, train staff, handle payroll procedures, and ensure safety, quality, and service excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Boating and/or marine related experience.
• Ability to swim.
• Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• DC Boaters Education Card.
• Driver's License.
• Marina Manager Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operations and management; perform MOD procedures when assigned.
• Supervise staff; schedule; payroll and hiring tasks.
• Oversee front desk; promote service excellence.
• Handle customer issues; maintain a professional image.
• Ensure facility safety; report hazards and incidents.
• Manage invoices, payables, and sales reporting; assist budgeting.
• Oversee merchandising and inventory; coordinate plans.
• Promote programs to generate revenue and recruit clients.
• Maintain awareness of safety issues and act promptly.
