Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Spotswood, NJ to help the General Manager oversee daily operations and develop a strong team. This entry-level management role focuses on learning critical decision-making, coaching staff, and maintaining high service quality.

You will lead shift teams, monitor store performance, ensure brand standards, and support cash handling and inventory controls.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach shifts supervisors, and monitor store operations.
• Step in to perform duties in the absence of the General Manager.
• Motivate staff during times of low morale and maintain brand standards.
• Ensure cash management accuracy and daily reporting as directed.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to maintain positive relationships.
