Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in Spotswood, NJ is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager ensure daily operations run smoothly. This entry-level management role offers a clear path to learn key leadership and discretion skills while supporting store performance.

You will lead teams, coach supervisors, uphold brand standards, manage cash, resolve customer issues, and maintain inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assign work, coach and develop shifts supervisors.
• Capable of stepping in for the general manager when needed.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during challenging periods.
• Exhibit strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues promptly and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Maintain awareness of brand standards and procedures to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations.
• Ensure restaurant looks clean, inviting, and compliant with brand standards.
• Manage cash with daily reporting according to directives.
• Address customer needs and nurture positive relationships.
• Conduct spot inventory checks to ensure data accuracy.
