Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in New Jersey is seeking an Assistant General Manager to assist the General Manager with day-to-day operations and to gain essential management skills in a fast-paced environment.

You will supervise store-level staff, deliver performance feedback, coach supervisors, ensure brand standards and policies are followed, handle cash and inventory, resolve customer issues, and foster positive, long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people-management abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of food safety principles.
• Ability to motivate a team and set performance goals.
• Willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of non-management associates and coach shifts supervisors.
• Act in the absence of the general manager and maintain store performance.
• Motivate staff and maintain positive morale during challenging times.
• Ensure policies, procedures, and brand standards are followed and cash/inventory controls are managed.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build lasting relationships.
