Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations and team development. This entry-level management role offers hands-on experience in leadership, coaching, and decision-making within a fast-paced retail environment.

You will oversee day-to-day store operations, ensure brand standards, coach staff, manage cash and inventory, and resolve customer issues to build lasting relationships across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates and develop shift supervisors.
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff during times of low morale.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure cash management is accurate.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues, ensuring positive relationships.
• Ensure inventory data is accurate through spot counts and checks.
