Popeyes in DeKalb, IL seeks an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to lead shifts, coach crewmembers, and uphold the brand’s legendary Southern hospitality. You’ll support the Restaurant General Manager in daily operations and drive guest satisfaction with speed, accuracy, and top-notch service.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of restaurant or retail management, a hands-on leadership style, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in restaurant or retail management.
• People-first leadership style and hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and deliver great food.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with managing food and labor costs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of daily restaurant operations, from the front counter to the back of house.
• Lead shifts with confidence—ensuring speed, accuracy, and top-tier guest experiences.
• Coach, develop, and motivate team members to hit service and performance goals.
• Monitor food quality, safety standards, and cleanliness.
• Assist in managing labor, food costs, and profitability.
• Respond to guest feedback and resolve concerns with care.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and safety procedures and other duties assigned.
• Help with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
